2016 Libertarian Party nominee for President of the United States.
Immigration is this Country's Identifying Factor.
"The only thing a big wall will do is increase the size of the ladders, the depth of the tunnels, and the width of the divisions between us."
|
The United States population is the most diverse out of all the countries in the world. We are considered a "melting pot" of cultures, ideas, nationalities, languages, and etc. Limiting or eliminating immigration to the United States will strip it of its identity.
As your president, I will have an open-door policy when it comes to our borders. Its about time we stop digging deeper divisions between us, and start welcoming all. |
Respect for all Immigrants.

The term illegal immigrants is insensitive to our Hispanic population here in this country. Republican voters should not wrongly misplaced the blame to justify why things are going wrong. Instead of appealing to emotions and demonizing immigrants, we should focus on creating a more efficient system that provide work visas, conduct background checks, and provide an incentive for non-citizens to pay their taxes, obtain proof of employment, and overall assimilate with our diverse society.
"The American Dream"

"American citizens know that the only realistic and humane policy is to find a fair and safe way to allow non-criminal, undocumented immigrants to get right with the law and go about their lives, paying taxes, having a valid Social Security number, and earning a legal status. No cutting the line. No "special" path to citizenship. Just a common sense way for undocumented immigrants with jobs, families, and a clean record to come forward and live by the same rules as the rest of us."
-A direct quote taken from a Gary Johnson interview on CNN (August 29, 2016)
America is the only location people can find safety and pursue their dreams and ensure their futures are bright. Immigrants and American citizens are not different from one another; therefore, there shouldn't be anything that separates them from receiving the same opportunities as the citizens of the United States.
Because of the convoluted immigration policies America is educating the best and brightest kids from all over the world and we’re sending them back to their countries of origin. Instead of them staying here to start up businesses that will employ tens of millions of Americans they go home and employ tens of millions of Indians. We’re doing that to ourselves. We should make it as easy as possible to be able to get a legal work visa – not citizenship, not a green card. Just a work visa, with a background check and a social security card so that applicable taxes would get paid.
