Hillary Rodham was born on October 26, 1947. She grew up in a middle-class home in Park Ridge, Illinois.Her dad, Hugh Rodham, was a World War II Navy veteran and a lifelong Republican.Hillary’s mother, Dorothy Rodham , had a tough childhood, and she inspired Hillary’s lifelong commitment to helping every child live up to his or her potential. Hillary attend public school and was raised a Methodists. After graduating high school, Hillary attended Wesley university. While attending college, Hillary was involved with social justice activism. After college, Hillary attend Yale law school. Hillary meet Bill Clinton while attending Yale Law School in the schools library. On October 11,1975 she married Bill Clinton in Fayetteville,Arkansas. 1980 Hillary gave birth do there daughter Chelsea . In 2000, Hillary was the first woman to serve as a U.S. senator from New York and then re-elected in 2006 with 67 percent of the votes. In 2008 Hillary ran for president. When president Obama won the 2008 election he asked her to serve as his secretary of state, and she accepted. On April 12, 2015 Hillary announced her campaign for president.
