A nation will not survive morally or economically when so few have so much and so many have so little

- Bernie Sanders

Picture
Who is Bernie Sanders?
He is the democratic presidential candidate of the United States and U.S. Senator of Vermont since 2006. As a democratic socialist supporting mostly liberal and progressive views (create jobs, raise wages, protect environment, healthcare for all, increase access to higher education, reform on immigration and criminal justice system, and fight corruption). Sanders has won re-election in 2018 with most of his voter by young democrats. He's born in Brooklyn, New York and he grew up a lower middle-class family of Jewish immigrant parents of the Holocaust. Previously, he has worked as the Mayor of Burlington from 1981 to 1989. Sanders achieved his bachelors degree in political science at University of Chicago.

His Stance On Immigration
Immigration Reform: the American immigration system is "profoundly broken"
Path to Citizenship: create a path for legal residency or citizenship to undocumented immigrants
DREAM Act: permanent residency to young undocumented immigrants
Visa Reform: halt the usage of visas for cheap, foreign labor and increase job opportunities for immigrants
Border Security: the ability to secure American borders without the construction of a wall

  - Creation of 20 million clean energy jobs
  - Investment of $16.3 trillion to fund the Green New Deal
  - 5 years worth of pension for displaced workers in the fossil fuel industry

His Stance On the Second Amendment
Bernie advotcates for gun reforms on current laws to obtain and distribute guns to be stricter and safer. For example, war machines will be prohibited and gun selling networks will be shut down. He will also decrease the influence of the NRA's influence on political legislators.

Bernie will establish increase on Tax rates on the Extreme wealth, which mean he will only increase tax rates on the top 1 percent with networks worth from 50 million or more. Bernie will ensure prevention of tax envasion my building a national wealth registry and significant third party reporting requirements. Additionally, he will invest IRS funding for stronger enforement and strengthening of the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act.
